Women In Scholarship, Engineering, Science, and Technology (WISEST): a name and a mission.
WISEST empowers girls to explore fields in which their gender is currently underrepresented. They've engaged students through conferences, mentorship programs, and online resources throughout Alberta.
I livened their existing graphic materials for various events and initiatives—reaching over 17,000 students. Projects include Choices Conference, WISEST STEM Podcast, and collaboration pieces with other organizations.
Choices Conference
The Choices Conference is a day of hands-on activities related to science, engineering, and technology. Catered to grade 6 girls, I redesigned their educational materials and introduced robotic companions to their experiential learning.
WISEST STEM Podcast
The WISEST STEM podcast helps students dive deeper into topics related to STEM—sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Aimed to be an online resource, I designed their podcast identity and artwork by featuring an inquisitive, owl youngling.
Collaboration Material
WISEST worked with various groups to bring STEM opportunities to young women. As a giveaway item to students, I was tasked to design a patch representing this collaboration.
